PDP chieftain, Naira Marley forward letters of apology to Sanwo-Olu for flouting COVID-19 stay-at-home directive
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain in Lagos State, Babatunde Gbadamosi, his wife, , and singer Azeez Fashola, aka Naira Marley, on Friday, sent letters of apology to Governor Babajide for violating the movement restriction put in place by the government to check the spread of coronavirus among the people.
The trio were arraigned at the Lagos Magistrate Court, Ogba on Tuesday, for attending the house party organised by actress Funke Akindele and her husband, JJCSkillz, last Sunday.
However, the state government dropped the charges against the defendants and asked them to apologise to President Muhammadu Buhari and governor Sanwo-Olu for flouting the movement restriction directive
They were also mandated to sign an undertaking to comply with all regulations relating to COVID-19 pandemic, and to go on isolation for 14 days in order to protect those they came in contact with at the party.
